How to gain “Momentum” when working out…

Momentum is HUGE when it comes to consistency in the gym. Actually, momentum is a huge driver for life in general! What do I mean by “momentum”.

When you first start going to the gym, it’s hard to get into a groove. You’re consistent one week, then inconsistent another. Once you’re consistent for about one month, you’ve successfully created momentum. What does this mean?

This means you’re in a “groove”. Why is this good? Because now that you’ve built a workout routine into your schedule, you’ll want to keep the ball rolling. Stopping will only make you feel guilty and you KNOW how hard it was to build that consistency up in the first place.

It’s like anything else in life. Take starting a paper for an example. I’m sure we’ve all been there where we KNOW we have to start an essay but can’t get it started. Once you get down that opening paragraph.. BAM, you’re in a groove and next thing you know you’re finished.

You caught momentum!

This same thing is applied in the gym and with many other things in life. So just get started and ride the momentum!! There may be bumps in the road but you’ll just have to jump start that momentum again.

You Got This!
